Nicola qualified with a 1st class BSc(Hons) Degree in Podiatry from the University of Huddersfield in 1999 and has since worked within a number of specialisms including Podiatric Surgery, Musculoskeletal Podiatry (MSK), Orthopaedics, Diabetes, Vascular and Dermatology.
She founded her company, Walkrite, in 2003 with her Co-Director John Chadwick in order to work privately within MSK Podiatry whilst also working in the NHS, at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, King’s Lynn, as a Band 8a Podiatrist specialising in acute Diabetic foot complications.
Nicola left the NHS to work full-time in private practice in 2006 and has since solely specialised in MSK Podiatry with a particular interest in clinical gait analysis, foot orthoses, the influence of footwear and gait re-training.
Nicola has written six articles for Runner’s World Magazine, spoken at national conferences and was recently published in The Pharmaceutical Journal with regards to the management of plantar fasciopathy.
She is passionate about clinical gait analysis and the ability to treat pain and improve performance by improving function in walking and running and puts this into practice herself participating in triathlons, a marathon and open water swimming events.
