COULD THIS BE A PICTURE OF YOUR MUM OR YOUR GRANDMA?….or you in the future?

3 million people in the UK have osteoporosis – a condition where bone loses its strength and architectural integrity, becoming weakened and susceptible to fracture.  It comes on very gradually and is symptom-free until the disease is well-established.  As a result, most sufferers don’t even know they have it.

Half of all women will develop osteoporosis and as many as one in three women and one in five men will suffer an osteoporotic fracture over their lifetime.

It doesn’t have to be that way.  Early assessment of risk means that you can make changes in your diet, lifestyle, exercise regime and medication to reduce your risk of developing disease.  Find out more by coming to our educational talk, and – if you want to take things further – sign up to get a scan.  For details, click here
