Food Allergy and Intolerance Week (run by Allergy UK) starts on the 11th November and is designed to highlight the issues faced by those with allergies, to get people talking and to raise awareness about allergy and intolerance.
Sophie Driver, Nutritional Therapist here at the Broad Street Practice, specialises in helping people identify whether they may have a problem with certain foods, supporting them through the process of discovering any issues and learning how to cope with a new way of eating. She offers practical advice and emotional support to enable sufferers to take control of their own health. Symptoms of food intolerance include IBS, headaches, fatigue, eczema, chronic rhinitis, fibromyalgia and low mood.
Sophie recently attended an educational seminar on food intolerance to keep her knowledge up to the minute and has also attended various conferences on functional medicine this year, the content of which included the effects of food intolerance and allergy on the body and the best ways to deal with them.
One happy client commented: “Just thought I’d drop you a line to tell you what an amazing difference going dairy free has made. 24 hours in – I felt a completely different woman – no bloating (I feel thinner!), no flatulence, no nothing! Absolutely life changing!”
Sophie is offering a discount on a “Food Detective” Food Intolerance Test & Consultation package (usual price £114) down to £99 for all bookings made before the 15th November – please call 01780 480889 to book your appointment.
Sophie is available for consultations at the Practice on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
